A New Year With A New Twist

As many of you know, a couple of months ago we made the announcement that Josh Wagner, our Worship Pastor, would be transitioning off of our staff to plant a church. While we knew this was coming, we are nevertheless sad to be losing Josh and his family as part of the Bridgeway staff, but we are excited for what God will do with them in the next several years in the Indy area. This of course meant that we would have to begin the difficult process of finding a replacement for Josh that we felt could pastor the excellence in worship that Bridgeway has come to expect and enjoy. In addition, there were some extenuating circumstances that we felt would make this a more difficult search. Namely, the necessity to offer a part time position that would fit with our church size and budgetary restraints.

In early November, we were given the name of a young man who, we were told, was seeking a potential opportunity to make a change and whose circumstances might be a fit for what we were offering in regrads to our Worship Pastor position. His name is Jeremiah Sousa, and we invited him, and his wife Stephanie, to Bridgeway to lead worship for us. After having spent a couple Sundays with them and bringing them in for a couple of interviews, we are excited to announce that we believe God is leading us to hire Jeremiah Sousa as the next Worship Pastor at Bridgeway Community Church.

Jeremiah Sousa is a military veteran who comes to us by way of Life Church's Noblesville campus, where he has been leading worship for the last three years. Jeremiah and his wife Stephanie have been married for three years, and Stephanie is a 3rd grade teacher at Indian Creek Elementary in the Lawrence school district. Jeremiah will be serving part time at Bridgeway while also pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Ivy Tech University. Jeremiah's first Sunday at Bridgeway will be January 7th and we'd love for everyone to come out and welcome he and Stephanie to the Bridgeway family. Thank you for your prayers during this search.

In Christ,

Kenny Panduku, Lead Pastor
